Collected Data. In accordance with art. 13 of the Italian legislative decree n. 196 of 30 June 2003 (hereinafter “Code"), the Associazione culturale ECVP 2018 (hereinafter “ECVP 2018”) with registered office at Via Tommaso Luciani 6, 34138 Trieste (TS), Italy, as Data Controller informs that some personal data, voluntarily provided by the users of www.ecvp2018.org (hereinafter "Web Site"), will be processed in order to allow the delivery of services (i.e. services such as association membership and registration to ECVP 2018, abstract submission) available through the Web Site (hereinafter "Services"). Personal data of the users of the Services shall especially consist in some data provided directly by them (i.e. personal data such as name, surname, address, country, date of birth, e-mail address, credit card number) and data collected during the browsing on the Web Site (i.e. IP-address on other information provided by Cookies, as defined below) (hereinafter “Personal Data").

Users are invited to visit this page periodically, for information according to updated laws and regulations.

ECVP 2018 specifies that, while the use of personal data is necessary to execute the required services, Users are assured that the use of such data will not be used for profiling research, but solely to facilitate site management and the execution of registrations and abstract submissions.

Personal data, voluntarily provided by the User, will not be communicated nor sold to a third party.

All necessary information required in order for credit card payments and transactions to be processed (credit/debit card number, expiry date, security code) will be sent to the bank (Banca Sella S.p.A., with registered office in Biella (Italy), Piazza Gaudenzio Sella, 1 – 13900 Biella, registered in the Chamber of Commerce of Biella, VAT no. 02224410023) for authentication, via encrypted protocol, without any third party interference. This information will never be seen or stored for any purpose by ECVP 2018.

The security measures on our Web Site are intended to help reduce the risk of unauthorized access or dispersion of data that may cause any personal risk to the security of our visitors. For this reason, we suggest that Web Site users ensure the computer that they are using has up-to-date security software and is connected to the internet through a reputable and trusted service provider. ECVP 2018 has implemented security measures to protect the users and their data entered. Despite their efforts, ECVP 2018 cannot guarantee that these security measures will limit and exclude any and all risks of unauthorized access to this information. For this reason, we advise our users to always navigate on the Web Site from a secure computer source with updated software that allows ample protection of sensitive data (anitvirus software) and that the Internet provider itself possesses safety requirements for the secure transmission of such data over the Internet.

ECVP 2018 informs that its Users are protected by Article 7 of the Italian Law n. 196/2003. Users can reserve the right to request the following information from ECVP 2018:

  • The confirmation of the existence of personal data relative to the User

  • The clear communication of the data together with their source

  • The motives and the finality of their use

The request for the above information can be renewed with an interval of ninety days, except for the existence of justified motivations; the cancellation, the modification in anonymous format of all of the data in case of violation of laws, together with the data which is not used for the aims for which they were collected.

 

PAYMENT AND SECURITY. Each transaction is subject to maximum security thanks to the use of the most advanced technological systems in the field of e-commerce and encryption systems (SSL - 'Secure Socket Layer') to protect your personal data and credit card information from unauthorized access. The payment procedure is carried out within a direct protected connection with the bank (Banca Sella S.p.A.) providing and managing the online payment service, and data is transmitted in encrypted form via a secure SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 128 bit encrypted file transfer systems. Such data remain inaccessible even for ECVP 2018. The protocol guarantees secure transmission of all data and protects against decrypting and/or counterfeiting of all sensitive information. All transactions are controlled and managed by Banca Sella S.p.A., a worldwide leading credit institute for online transactions. Data provided by you will be transferred in encrypted form directly to Banca Sella’s secure server. Banca Sella S.p.A. will store and handle the aforementioned data autonomously, employing the highest level of security, and for the sole purpose of fulfilling your registration on ECVP 2018 website. This data is not accessible to third parties. Accepted credit cards: VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO. Payments by POSTEPAY are also accepted, as well as all payments using rechargeable credit cards within the VISA ELECTRON circuit. If the card requires the authentication 3D secure control you will be temporarily redirected to the page for the verification code. All payments have to be made in Euro. Bank transfer charges need to be covered by you. Your receipt will be available only electronically in your personal area and will NOT be sent to you separately. Remember that you will be solely responsible for all data provided, so only use credit cards of which you are an authorized user. If there are sufficient funds and the account information is valid, the transaction will be processed instantly.

Credit card payments may be declined for the following reasons:

- Your credit card has expired

- You reached your credit limit: verify with your bank that you have not exceeded the maximum amount allowed for purchases on your credit card

- Some of your data was entered incorrectly: check that you filled all compulsory fields correctly

 

Processing Purpose. Personal Data will be processed primarily for the following purposes: (a) to complete your registration; (b) to provide after registration services and overall information about ECVP 2018; (c) to permit ECVP 2018 to carry out its internal administrative task and to comply with all applicable laws and/or orders of public authorities; (d) to protect and enforce the rights of ECVP 2018, including its property rights, and take action for the protection of the Web Site; (e) to protect against potential fraud.

Processing Method. Personal Data will be stored in ARUBA S.p.A.’s servers (https://www.datacenter.it/en/home.aspx), which are located in ITALY (Sede Legale: Ponte San Pietro (BG), via San Clemente 53, 24036, Partita IVA 01573850516), associated to the domain www.ecvp2018.eu, and they will be processed (electronically or otherwise) for Services management purpose and to comply with any obligation required by applicable law.

Personal Data communication. For the purpose of management of the Services listed above, ECVP 2018 may disclose Personal Data to its advisers and lawyers as well as to other companies or affiliates of ECVP 2018 which cooperate with the latter in the management of the Services both in Italy and abroad (e.g. by means of registration fulfilment, event organization, processing payments). These individuals will have access to the data necessary to perform its obligations and fulfil its functions (and will not be authorized to use them for other purposes). They shall comply with the instructions of ECVP 2018 relating to the processing of Personal Data, they will act as controller of Personal Data and will be listed in an updated list available at ECVP 2018. Personal Data will not be subject to disclosure or otherwise disclosed. Personal Data will be processed only by entities appointed by ECVP 2018 directly or indirectly (such as collaborators appointed by ECVP 2018).

Treatment Duration: Personal Data will be stored for the time necessary to provide the required Services, or for the time required by the purposes described in this document.

Cookies. Some pages of the Web Site can use a common technology called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive when visiting a website. The text file stores information that the site is able to read upon successive visits. Some of these cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the site, others are useful to the visitor, for example, because they are able to securely store the visitor’s username or language settings. The advantage of allowing cookies to be stored on your PC is to avoid having to communicate the same information each time you want to access a previously visited site. ECVP 2018 may make use of the service of Google Analytics of the company Google Inc. ("Google") for the generation of statistics concerning the use of the web portal. Google Analytics uses cookies (not third-party) that do not store personal data. The information derived from the cookies about a user's use of the website (including IP addresses) will be transmitted by the user's browser to Google, with legal address at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States, and stored on this company's servers. According to its terms of service, Google will use this information, as data controller, for the purpose of evaluating use of the website, of compiling reports on website activity for use by site operators and of providing other services related to the website, the connection mode (via mobile, PC, specific browser, etc.) and the way in which the web-pages are searched for and found. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or when such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Click on Tools & then Internet Options.

  2. Click on Preferences in the toolbar and then select the Privacy panel in the following dialogue box.

Security Measures. ECVP 2018 has adopted appropriate administrative, physical, and technical measures and security tools in order to minimize the risks related to the loss or damage - even accidental - of the Personal Data, and unauthorized access to or processing of Personal Data.

Third Party Web Sites. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected on the Web Site. The Web Site may contain links to other web sites. ECVP 2018 is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other web sites.

Accessing Personal Data. At any time you can be informed about the existence, content, source, purposes and methods of processing of Personal Data related to you, and the right to request rectification, erasure or blocking of such Personal Data, to the extent permitted under applicable laws.
