Un Mare di Illusioni
The event UN MARE DI ILLUSIONI (in English “A Sea of Illusions”) will be held by the sea at Molo (Pier) IV on August 28th.
This event is a traditional ECVP appointment that you should not miss. Formerly known as “Illusoriamente” (Alghero), “Show time” (Bremen), “Illusion night” (Belgrade), “Illusions parade” (Liverpool), “The Illusion's Night” (Barcelona), and “Night of Light” (Berlin), it is an exhibition/workshop event that will bring together scientists working in the field of visual perception and artists. Scientists and artists will exchange knowledge and expertise in the domain of perceptual illusions. The event will be in the form of an interactive gallery.
How to present your work in the UN MARE DI ILLUSIONI:
To exhibit in the gallery you will need to generate a demo of a visual illusion (if you are a scientist) or an artwork based on perceptual illusions (if you are an artist). Different materials can be used, including: visual/audiovisual platforms, projections, installations, any form of painting and sculpture.
Please submit to firstname.lastname@example.org one pdf file containing:
1) Your name, a brief description of your activity (max 100 words) and your website address (or one useful link to learn more about your work, if available);
2) A description (max 150 words) of the illusion you want to present;
3) Three pictures to illustrate the proposed work. In case your (art)work is a video then submit a short preview (max 10 MB).

Please note that we can provide tables, electrical outlets, some wall space, and a limited number of projectors and screens upon request. The organizers will try to help you with setting up, but exhibitors will be responsible to bring along any other necessary equipment for their work.
Only proposals from participants who are regularly registered will be considered. The deadline is April 15th; applicants will be notified by May 31st.
